Rachel Roberts Secures Key Endorsements

Newport Firefighters, State and Local Labor Organizations Endorse in February 25th Special Election

Campbell County, KY—Rachel Roberts, the Democratic candidate in the Special Election for Kentucky’s House District 67 has received several key endorsements. Newport Firefighters Local 45, Kentucky State AFL-CIO, Kentucky State Building Trades, Northern Kentucky Labor Council, Teamsters Local 89, IBEW, Ironworkers Local 44, United Steelworkers, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 392 and the Kentucky Laborers Dist. Council have selected Roberts as their candidate in the February 25th election.

“Roberts has continuously backed the firefighters and firefighter issues at the local level and her support within the local communities is unwavering,” said Josh Stephenson, PAC Chairman for Newport Firefighters Local 45.

“I am proud to receive the endorsements of these fine organizations,” said Rachel Roberts. “I am honored to stand with working men and women from across the Commonwealth and I look forward to working on economic and health-related issues important to first responders and Kentucky’s workers.”

Roberts is owner of The Yoga Bar studios, a locally founded center for mindfulness, which has been voted Best of Northern Kentucky, and she is co-owner of RAKE Strategies, a brand strategy firm. She grew her businesses from scratch and had the savvy and dedication to build The Yoga Bar into a thriving hub for community involvement and charitable fundraising. Her clients include partnerships with The Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, FC Cincinnati, Newport on the Levee, as well as some of the area’s most respected employers, and she provides PTSD mindfulness training for local firefighters. Rachel conducts trainings for Fortune 500 companies and is known around the world for her international retreats. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road, is on the board of directors for the Newport Business Association and serves on the board of Mental Health America, Kentucky.
